Miles Sanders injury status update

Sanders never returned to the game after injuring his shoulder. The Eagles host the Chicago Bears in Week 9. He told NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo after the game that an x-ray on the shoulder turned out fine. He also was not sure of what was next. He likely will undergo an MRI to check for any other damage before we find out if he’ll miss any time.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders has gone to the locker room with a shoulder injury. The team announced he is questionable to return as the third quarter comes to a close.

Sanders left the game after making a big impact on the ground and through the air. He had three rushes for 74 yards and a touchdown, and added three receptions for 44 yards. It’s been the biggest game of his rookie season.

Jordan Howard leads the team with 12 rushes for 43 yards and added one 15-yard reception. Howard got hurt himself and Boston Scott came on to score a touchdown, but Howard has returned to the game. Howard and Sanders have split work this season, with Howard getting the more traditional rushing work. Sanders is viewed as the bigger playmaker, but Howard remains a regular option. Both retain solid fantasy value, but Howard’s will increase while Sanders is out of the game.
