The Oakland Raiders face off against the Houston Texans in Week 8, and while banged up, the Raiders should have some key offensive weapons available. Wide receiver Tyrell Williams (foot) and running back Josh Jacobs (shoulder) were both listed as questionable for the game, but both are expected to play, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Williams has missed the Raiders’ last two games with a plantar fasciitis injury. His absence has left Darren Waller as the primary option in the passing game, but now Derek Carr gets a second decent pass catcher back for what could be a shootout with Houston.
Fantasy football analysis, Raiders WR Tyrell Williams, TE Darren Waller
The Texans have given up the ninth fewest points to the tight end position, while giving up the third most points to wide receivers. Waller is a must start regardless of opponent. Even with Williams back, Waller will see plenty of looks in a game that will not be low-scoring.
Williams is not a must start every week, but he’s a strong start this week in his return. The foot injury was concerning, but with three full weeks of rehab, the hope is that he’s in good shape and ready to go. He’ll see plenty of targets, and should be a strong start in both PPR and standard leagues.
