There is nothing worse than a game-time decision for fantasy football players. Those situations are even worse when it concerns one of the best players in the game at his position and a backup option who is nearly as good for production.
But that’s exactly what we’re looking at with the New Orleans Saints this week. Running back Alvin Kamara, who missed last week’s game with an ankle injury, is once again a game-time decision. Meanwhile, his backup, Latavius Murray, is good to go and coming off a huge game last week against the Bears.
In the perfect world, the Saints would let Kamara rest another week. After all, they are playing the Cardinals, a team they’re heavily favored against. But uncertainty is something fantasy folks will have to take into account.
Fantasy football analysis, New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray
Murray had 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Bears last week, and he could feast again this week against the Cardinals.
Kamara is always a good start when he can play, but so is Murray, especially this week. The best way to handle this situation is probably to give Murray the edge, and assume the Saints will let Kamara rest another week.
Sit/start recommendation
Start Murray, and sit Kamara this week.
