The Tennessee Titans ruled out tight end Delanie Walker for their Week 8 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Walker has an ankle injury that he’s been dealing with, and it will keep in street clothes this week.
Walker tried to make a go of it last week against the Chargers. He only lasted a few snaps before coming out of the game for good that day, and he did not catch a single pass and wasn’t even targeted in that one. The main concern with this injury is that it’s the same ankle that put him on the shelf last year. Recurring injuries like that often spell trouble for a player’s long-term career.
Fantasy football analysis, Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker
Without Walker last week, the Titans turned to Jonnu Smith, a third-round pick from 2017. He played the majority of snaps and caught all three passes thrown his way for a total of 64 yards.
Normally, you could probably just skip the Titans tight end position, but the fact that they’re playing the Bucs makes Smith an interesting option. The Bucs are among the worst at defending tight ends. Smith can be had in DK leagues this week for a paltry $2,800 salary.
