Week 8 of the 2019 NFL season is upon us, and it’s time for another look at the quarterback position in fantasy football leagues.
There are big byes this week with the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys on the sideline. Lamar Jackson has been the best player in fantasy, and Dak Prescott has had a strong contract year thus far.
Injuries are starting to become a serious issue. Patrick Mahomes will miss some time with a dislocated knee cap, and Matt Ryan has a sprained ankle that will be worth monitoring this week. Cam Newton remains sidelined with his Lisfranc foot injury, while Drew Brees might just return to practice this week.
Without our normal one-two punch of Jackson and Mahomes atop the rankings, Russell Wilson is by far in the best fantasy situation. He’s facing a Falcons defense that is getting shredded by quarterbacks week after week.
