Kareem Hunt returns to practice in Week 8

The Cleveland Browns returned to practice following their Week 7 bye, and running back Kareem Hunt was among the players on the practice field. Hunt is serving an eight-game suspension for assaulting a woman while a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, and while he cannot play in a game until Week 10, the team announced he is allowed to start practicing.

Nick Chubb is not going to lose his job to Hunt, but Hunt is likely to end up getting complementary work behind Chubb. Through seven weeks (six games plus the Browns bye), Chubb ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards. He is averaging 5.3 yards per carry and also has 20 receptions for 128 receiving yards. His catch numbers aren’t massive, but he’s turning into a solid dual threat for the Browns.

Hunt will be able to get Chubb a breather from time-to-time, but I doubt he does much more than that. He is an option to add to your bench if you have Chubb and he got hurt, but otherwise he holds no value.
