The Tennessee Titans won a wild 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. It was a tight back-and-forth affair that came to a heads on the Chargers final drive of the game. LA had two different touchdowns in the final minute reversed by the officials, who stated the ball carrier did not break the plane. The first came on 2nd and 10 at the Tennessee 16 when Austin Ekeler caught a pass from Philip Rivers and appeared to get in. The same came on first and goal at the one, when Melvin Gordon appeared to punch in the score. Both were reversed and on 2nd and goal from the one, Gordon was ruled down by contact, but on review, it was deemed he fumbled and the Titans recovered.
Initially lost amidst the insanity of the ending was a strong effort by quarterback Ryan Tannehill. He had replaced Marcus Mariota as the team’s starter, and threw for 312 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He did fumble twice, but the Titans recovered both.
In case you had forgotten about, the Titans social media reminded folks Monday morning.

All we can say is, this is not going to end well for Titans fans. They might get some wins, but at some point Ryan Tannehill is going to cost the team in a big way, and Titans fans will be unnecessarily flabbergasted.
And we’re here to make sure that fantasy football owners are not caught equally unaware. Week 7 wraps up Monday evening, but fantasy owners are already starting to consider options on the waiver wire heading into Week 8. Tannehill is owned in 1.9 percent of fantasy leagues, and in Week 8 he and the Titans host a bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense.
The Bucs have given up the sixth most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. There are only two teams on bye in Week 8, but they feature some huge names. The Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys will not be playing this weekend. That means quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott will be on the sideline.
If you have either of them, you might be in the market for a quarterback. It’s a shaky market for quarterbacks right now, but you really should avoid Tannehill. Maybe he gets lucky and puts together a second strong outing, but he is not the quarterback to rest your fantasy needs. Some other options to consider include Gardner Minshew (vs. Jets), Teddy Bridgewater (vs. Cardinals and assuming no Drew Brees), Derek Carr (@ Texans), or even Mitchell Trubisky (vs. a bad Chargers defense).
If you can avoid Tannehill, we highly recommend it.
