Delanie Walker injury status

Walker left Week 7 after aggravating his ankle injury and is questionable to return.

Delanie Walker game-day status

The Titans announced their Week 7 inactives, and tight end Delanie Walker is ACTIVE for their matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. If you’ve been waiting on this announcement, you can play Walker. The Chargers are middle of the road when it comes to defending tight ends, so there is some upside here. The downside of course is that the Titans quarterback situation is a mess. Ideally, Walker turns into a safety blanket for Ryan Tannehill and piles up the target volume.

Delanie Walker status update 12:02 p.m.

The Titans kick off against the Chargers at 4:05 p.m. ET. That means we won’t know Walker’s injury status until 2:35 p.m. when inactives are released. Walker was a DNP on Friday due to his ankle injury, so there are some concerns. If you have another option, it might be worth starting that player. If you do not, Saints tight end Josh Hill could be a decent option if Walker ends up inactive.

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker is questionable this week with an ankle injury. With a home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers and Ryan Tannehill making his first start at quarterback, Walker could be in store for a nice week — if he can play.

Walker was limited at practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, he did not practice on Friday. It has been reported that he is still likely to play this week, despite getting the day off heading into the weekend. But you had better keep an eye on things ahead of the late afternoon kickoff on Sunday.

Walker’s been a solid option most weeks at the tight end position. What makes this week’s game so intriguing is Tannehill getting the starting job. Marcus Mariota’s struggles undoubtedly limited Walker’s production so far this season. It’s not that Tannehill is a world beater or anything, but he might be a better fit for Walker’s fantasy stats.

Fantasy football analysis, Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker

It sounds like Walker will play this week. No doubt the Titans will want him on the field if at all possible to be a security blanket for the new starting QB. With a $3,800 salary in DK leagues this week, he’s on the lower end of his position group, and not a bad little bargain for you.
