What to do with Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny in Week 7 fantasy football

The Seahawks are looking to get their backfield healthy with Rashaad Penny hoping to join Chris Carson in Week 7. We break down the fantasy football start/sit implications.

The Seattle Seahawks will welcome back running back Rashaad Penny in Week 7, in hopes that he can last longer than a week again. Penny got off to a decent start and was pushing Chris Carson for touches, but a hamstring injury short-circuited his season. He missed three weeks, played a game, and then aggravated the injury the next week in practice and missed last week against Cleveland.

Penny is off the injury report, but his opportunity could be limited in light of recent weeks. Chris Carson is on a roll, breaking off 100+ yards in three straight games. He’s averaging 4.7 yards per carry and the Seahawks have won all three games. Russell Wilson is the biggest reason for that, but this kind of dominance from the ground game is key.

The Ravens run defense ranks 18th in efficiency, and are top third in the league in terms of fewest fantasy points allowed to running backs. This game feels like Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson will be engaged in a shootout. I don’t think either team will blow the other out, so it won’t result in a running game getting shut down. Penny will likely slowly work his way back into the mix if he stays healthy, but for the time being, this is the Chris Carson show.
