The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense stunned a lot of us when they exploded against the Los Angeles Rams defense in Week 4. As they prepare for Week 5, they will be tracking a key injury. Wide receiver Chris Godwin sat out Wednesday’s practice due to a hip injury that had him a game-time decision in Week 4. He sat out last Wednesday and Thursday before practicing on Friday and playing on Sunday.

Godwin ended up having his best game of the season, catching 12 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. If his hip was bothering him, it was hard to tell. And so, we will wait and see what Thursday and Friday’s injury reports bring.

Fantasy football analysis of Bucs WR Chris Godwin

Godwin is having a breakout season after a solid second year in 2018. He has 26 receptions for 386 yards and four touchdowns through four games, offering Jameis Winston a strong complement to Mike Evans. And Week 5 brings a solid matchup for the Bucs passing offense against the New Orleans Saints defense. Through four weeks, they are giving up the second most points to quarterbacks and fifth most to wide receivers. If Godwin is active, he’s a must start alongside Evans.
