How to handle Sammy Watkins injury, Tyreek Hill option in Week 7 fantasy football

The Chiefs welcomed back Tyreek Hill last week, but continue to be without Sammy Watkins. We break down the fantasy implications and who to start and sit in Week 7 Thursday Night Football.

The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt with two notable injuries at the wide receiver position, but as they are getting healthier, their embarrassment of riches is growing. Sammy Watkins will be sidelined in Week 7 with a hamstring injury, but Tyreek Hill’s strong return in Week 6 (five receptions, 80 yards, two touchdowns) has the team in a good position to compensate for the loss of Watkins.

Watkins injured his hamstring in Week 5 and was unable to practice the following week. He was doubtful and did not play in the game. He was limited in practice this week, but the team decided not to risk bringing him back on the short week.

Tyreek Hill proved he is right back at must-start status with his Week 6 performance. The Broncos bring a solid defense of late, but Hill is a guy you start every week regardless of the defense.

The bigger questions will be who of Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, and Byron Pringle pick up the slack in Watkins’ absence. Hardman is the most likely to step up and would be the choice if you had to pick one of the three in Week 7.
