Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison estimate to sit out first practice of Week 7

The Packers wide receiver corps is banged up following a tough Monday Night Football win. We break down the fantasy implications heading into Week 7.

The Green Bay Packers escaped with a close comeback win over the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football to close Week 6, and they are giving players a rest on a shorter week. The Packers will face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, and they decided to not hold a Wednesday practice. That resulted in an estimated practice report, which included Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Geronimo Allison all listed as DNPs.

Adams remains sidelined with a turf toe injury, and his return status is uncertain. MVS injured his leg in the second quarter of Monday’s game, but returned in the third quarter. Allison suffered a chest injury in the third quarter and was also evaluated for a concussion. He did not return to the game.

Considering the Packers gave their players a day off from practice, we’ll have to wait for Thursday’s practice participation report to get a real handle on the three players’ statuses. Adams seems likely to miss at least one more game based on some pessimism he had about his toe. MVS returned and gutted it out, so I’m guessing he’s mostly getting some recuperation time and should be available Sunday. Allison is the bigger question mark and will depend on how he progresses through the concussion protocol.
