The NFL wrapped up Week 6 with a wild Monday Night Football contest that helped the Green Bay Packers solidify their lead in the NFC North. They improved to 5-1 and now hold a one-game lead over the Minnesota Vikings.
The New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers remained the last two undefeated teams this week. The Patriots started slow against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football, but then proceeded to unload on them in the second half and ended the game with a relatively easy cover. The 49ers, on the other hand, had no trouble with the Los Angeles Rams. LA got on the board first with a dominant opening drive, but things went south in a hurry and the 49ers rolled to an outright win as an underdog.
Week 7 is upon us, but I thought we’d take a look at how the betting public did in a different form of power ranking. DraftKings Sportsbook put together a list of the top ten teams that won users the most money during NFL Week 6. There are some expected teams like the Patriots, Saints, and 49ers. But we also get some of the underdogs that blew through expectations.
The New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers are the two most notable from this past week. The Jets welcomed back Sam Darnold and impressed against the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets jumped out early and almost blew it, but it was an impressive win and a sign maybe the Jets are a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, the Steelers went into Carson, California and had little trouble with the Los Angeles Chargers. It became almost a home game for Pittsburgh, en route to a win in Devlin Hodges starting debut.
