If you’re a DFS player, you know that a successful lineup has to have a solid combination of big-name star power players that are known commodities with a few high-upside players that provide a little more bang for your buck.
If you pay up for a big name in your daily fantasy lineup, you definitely cannot afford for that player to put up a dud of a game in your lineup.
So here are the quarterbacks that will likely provide some of the best and worst value for Week 7. (Values from DraftKings).
BEST: Josh Allen (BUF) - $6,500
It’s honestly a little surprising that Josh Allen of the 4-1 Buffalo Bills is only 7th-most expensive quarterback when they’re set to take on the tanking Miami Dolphins. Granted, the Bills have been winning without having to rely too much on Allen’s cannon of an arm, but look for the Bills to blow out the Dolphins this week after putting up only 14 points against the Tennessee Titans last week.
WORST: Tom Brady (NE) - $6,600
There’s something that happens to Tom Brady when he plays on the road against the New York Jets. This year, the Jets are ranked 7th-best in the NFL against opposing quarterbacks, and Brady’s weapons around him have failed to give reason for hope that Brady will put up elite numbers against an above-average defense. The New England Patriots have been forced to win games on the back of their defense, and if they want to win in Week 7, it will likely be another week that Brady’s performance will take a back seat.
BEST: Dak Prescott (DAL) - $6,200
Kirk Cousins just threw for 333 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. I’ll repeat that: Kirk. Cousins. His 4 Week 6 touchdowns were more than his first four weeks combined, and his 333 yards was a season high. After Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys offense has underwhelmed the past three weeks, look for a monster bounce back this week against a struggling Philadelphia secondary.
WORST: Matt Ryan (ATL) - $6,300
Even if only in garbage time, Matt Ryan still had himself a solid game last week against the Arizona Cardinals. This week, the Atlanta Falcons host Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams who have struggled on defense in 2019. Still, it’s hard to trust any Falcons player right now considering the state of that organization, so avoid Ryan in Week 7 as the turmoil surrounding Dan Quinn’s hot seat continues another week.
