The Eagles look to get back their pass-catching playmaker in Week 7. We break down the fantasy football implications as DeSean Jackson continues his rehab.

The Philadelphia Eagles travel to face the Dallas Cowboys in a huge Week 7 divisional matchup, and are hoping to get one of their biggest threats back on the field. Wide receive DeSean Jackson has started running again, and head coach Doug Pederson was “hopeful” that Jackson could return this week.

Pederson spoke on a Philadelphia radio station Monday morning, and he talked about Jackson’s progress since suffering the abdominal injury in Week 3.

“He has been running. He has been running on land, we have had him in the pool...He is feeling good,” Pederson said. ”I am going to meet with the medical team in a little bit, and have more of an update at the noon press conference. But he is getting close and we are hopeful. I can’t promise anything, but we are hopeful he can return this week.”

The report also mentioned other reports that suggested Jackson could still be a few weeks away. The Eagles return to practice on Wednesday, at which point we’ll see if Jackson is making any progress. My guess is he misses another week, but the practice report will start pointing us in the right direction.

The Eagles offense has been hit-or-miss since Jackson went down. Alshon Jeffery remains a strong fantasy presence, leading the team with ten receptions in Week 6. He found the end zone once and had 76 receiving yards, which was second to running back Miles Sanders’ 86 yards and a touchdown on three receptions.

Jackson had eight receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns against Washington in Week 1, before suffering the injury in Week 2.
