The Dallas Cowboys avoided a potential nightmare scenario on Sunday against the New York Jets. Dak Prescott took a an inadvertent hit to the head and was taken to the medical tent for a concussion test. He passed the test, according to multiple reports, and he has returned to the field midway through the second quarter.
The Cowboys have already lost wide receiver Amari Cooper, but losing Prescott would have been a significant loss. Cooper Rush is the Cowboys backup quarterback and has not attempted a regular season pass since 2017. Suffice to say, nobody wants to see Cooper Rush playing.
The Jets lead the Cowboys 7-3 in what has been a defensive struggle for now. Prescott returns to the field having completed four of eight passes for 42 yards. Le’Veon Bell punched in a touchdown in the first quarter and Dallas followed with a field goal in the second quarter.
