Will Dissly injury update

Tight end Will Dissly suffered an Achilles injury on Sunday, and the Seahawks think it’s a serious injury, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Per Field Yates, Carroll said, “He did hurt his Achilles. We don’t have anything final on it, but its’s a serious one. He’s got to get some tests done, MRI’s and all that, but it’s a big loss.”

This suggests either season-ending or pretty close to it for Dissly, who had broken out in a big way as one of Russell Wilson’s favorite targets. This is a tough loss for the Seahawks.

Update: Dissly suffered an Achilles injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game, per the FOX sideline reporter.

The Seattle Seahawks are trailing the Cleveland Browns 20-9 and any comeback just got a little more difficult. Tight end Will Dissly went down with a non-contact injury after Russell Wilson overthrew him on a pass attempt. Dissly grabbed his leg and the team has announced he is questionable to return. The play was his first target of the game.

Fantasy football analysis, Seahawks TE Will Dissly

This is a big injury given how Dissly has emerged in 2019. He has 23 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns. He leads tight ends in touchdowns and is top eight in receptions and yards. The Seahawks were comfortable enough with him that they traded away Nick Vannett.

We’ll want to see what additional news comes out, but Luke Willson will replace him for the time being. Willson has no fantasy value.
