How to handle Todd Gurley’s injury in Week 6 fantasy football

It looks like the Rams will be without Gurley this week. We’re here to help you plan accordingly for fantasy.

The Los Angeles Rams will be without the services of Todd Gurley this week for a divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Gurley has been sidelined from practice all week with a quad injury, and was officially listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report.

Gurley has had a nice season for fantasy owners. He had 51 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns in last week’s loss to the Seahawks. That was the second game in a row where he found paydirt twice, and he has five rushing scores on the season.

Keep an eye on the injury report next week. Gurley’s quad wasn’t supposed to be a serious issue when he came out of last week’s game with the injury. Instead, he’s missed a week of practice and is now set to miss his first game of season. Injuries took a toll on Gurley last season, and it’s starting to look like it could pose serious limitations to his career going forward.

With Gurley out, look for Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson to share the workload. Henderson, a rookie, is a bit of an unknown from a fantasy perspective—he’s only had one touch this season. Brown is a worthwhile addition, especially at just $4,300 in DK leagues.
