Top RB DFS plays for Week 6 include Mark Ingram, Derrick Henry

Don’t set your DFS lineups this week without including these running backs in them.

It’s no secret that in daily fantasy, running back is the most important position to hit on. Anyone who starting Christian McCaffrey or Aaron Jones last week can attest to that. If you had both those guys in your lineup, odds were you paid out handsomely.

As you get your lineups set for this week, here are four running backs to sprinkle into your teams. These are guys who are primed to either live up to their salary or will wildly outperform expectations. (Salaries via DraftKings)

Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards (vs Bengals) - $6,600, $3,900

The Bengals run defense has been quite terrible to start this season. They’ve given up the third most rushing yards, second most touchdowns and fantasy points to opposing backs. Ingram will certainly eat against this porous defense, but so will Edwards, if you’re looking for a very cheap flex play. The Bengals have given up double digit games to two running backs in all but two of their games this season, meaning there’s a great chance Edwards gets you at least 10 points this week.

Derrick Henry (@ Broncos) - $6,100

Yes Henry’s stat lines are not the sexiest, but the man has consistently scored double digit points and has scored a touchdown in all but one game this year. The Broncos run defense has been far from great, giving up the eight most rushing yards third most touchdowns to backs. Two weeks ago, Leonard Fournette torched this defense for 200+ yards on the ground. I feel comfortable in saying Henry will get at least 80 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Kerryon Johnson (@ Packers) - $5,400

While the Packers defense flashed a little resilience against Ezekiel Elliott last week, holding him to 62 yards on the ground, I’m attributing most of that to game flow instead of an actual improvement of their run defense. (He averaged 5.2 yards per carry.) Before their bye, Johnson recorded 26 carries for 125 yards against the Chiefs and was the driving force behind the Lions offense. I would expect a similar workload Monday night as the Lions look to keep Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense off the field.
