Best TE DFS plays for Week 6 include Austin Hooper, Will Dissly

Two under-the-radar names could be fantasy darlings at tight end this week. We break down the top options to consider at tight end in Week 6 daily fantasy football.

The Sunday kickoffs for Week 6 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 6 DFS lineups. In Week 5, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.

Obviously, you would love to fill your daily lineup with Pro Bowlers from top to bottom, but spending money on a top-tier player in one spot leaves you potentially scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three tight ends that could provide the best value for Week 6. Values from DraftKings.

George Kittle (SF) - $5,200

Assuming Kittle is able to play this week through a groin injury, the San Francisco offense is finally beginning to run on all cylinders. Unfortunately for Kittle, it’s been the San Francisco rushing attack that has truly shined of late. Kittle has failed to score since Week 1 and has yet to have over 75 receiving yards in a game this year. As Kittle’s production has continued to disappoint, his daily fantasy price tag has dropped considerably. There’s a lot of value in Kittle this week in a potential shootout against the Los Angeles Rams, and this could very well be the week Kittle returns to the end zone.

Austin Hooper (ATL) - $5,000

Hooper is one of my favorite plays in daily fantasy this week. There are only three things certain in life: death, taxes and the Arizona Cardinals giving up big games to opposing tight ends. At $2,000 cheaper than the most expensive tight end available this week, Hooper is an incredible value at tight end to let you splurge elsewhere in your daily fantasy lineup. Hooper is appearing more and more to be one of Matt Ryan’s preferred targets in the passing game, despite the presence of names like Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Mohamed Sanu, and look for that to continue against the second-worst team in the NFL against opposing tight ends.

Will Dissly (SEA) - $4,900

When Doug Baldwin announced his retirement this past offseason, there were questions about who would step up in the passing attack for the Seattle Seahawks. Would Tyler Lockett emerge as a true No. 1 wide receiver? Would DK Metcalf take the NFL world by storm in his rookie year? Actually, it’s been Dissly, who missed the majority of 2018 due to injury, who has stepped up in a big way for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. He’s second behind Lockett in receptions and leads the team in touchdowns. Dissly is likely not to stay this cheap for much longer.
