Best QB DFS plays for Week 6 include Kyler Murray, Philip Rivers

Two returning pass-catchers could set up these quarterbacks for big games in Week 6. We break down the top options to consider at quarterback for daily fantasy football.

The Sunday kickoffs for Week 6 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your DFS lineups. In Week 5, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.

Obviously, you would love to fill your daily lineup with Pro Bowlers from top to bottom, but spending money on a top-tier player in one spot leaves you potentially scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three quarterbacks that could provide the best value for Week 6. Values from Draft Kings.

Kyler Murray (ARI) - $6,500

The Arizona Cardinals are set to face off against the Atlanta Falcons, ranked 29th in the NFL against opposing quarterbacks in 2019. Add in the fact that they’re likely to be without one of the few bright spots on defense in Desmond Trufant and Keanu Neal already on IR, and a bad defense might only be getting worse. For Murray and the Cardinals, their offense could improve with Christian Kirk likely returning after missing last week due to injury. Murray could very well end up one of the better plays in all of daily fantasy this week.

Lamar Jackson (BAL) - $6,900

Lamar Jackson has simmered down some after his electric start of 2019, but he could be back on the upswing with a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Baltimore. The Bengals are currently the fourth-worst team in the NFL against opposing quarterbacks the Cincinnati linebacking corps lacks a linebacker with elite speed to help contain Lamar Jackson’s running ability. Because Lamar is equally adept at running the ball as he is throwing it, his fantasy floor is always fairly high.

Philip Rivers (LAC) - $5,800

After weeks of underwhelming in 2019, Rivers’s daily fantasy price has finally dropped to a point where there’s significant value to be had plugging him into your lineup. The Los Angeles Chargers are set to take on one of the NFL’s worst secondaries in the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Chargers are starting to get their full plethora of weapons back on offense. Melvin Gordon returned from his contract hold out already, and Hunter Henry could very well could very well see the field for the first time since Week 1. If so, the Chargers offense will be set to give the Steelers all they can handle this week.
