Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Panthers-Bucs in Week 6

Carolina and Tampa Bay get the first early London game in Week 6. We break down the notable odds, including point spread, prop bets, and gambling history.

The first rematch of the 2019 will take place in Tampa Sunday, when the Panthers look to avenge their 20-14 Week 2 loss to Buccaneers. That was the last time Cam Newton (foot) played, and he was noticeably less mobile than usual during that game.

Kyle Allen took over as the Panthers’ QB in Week 3, and he’s led them to three consecutive wins, two of which were against possible playoff teams. Allen hasn’t set the world on fire, but he’s put up a respectable 67% completion percentage and 107.4 QB Rating without turning the ball over. He’s averaging only 224 yards per game, but it’s been enough to keep defenses honest – the Panthers’ primary game plan, after all, is “Christian McCaffrey is very good.” Through Week 5, McCaffrey has more yards from scrimmage than the Jets. Yes, he has single-handedly outgained an entire team. On the other hand, McCaffrey’s worst game was against these same Bucs in Week 2, and the Bucs lead the NFL in rush defense DVOA.

This divisional rivalry has a history of going under the total points line, and another defensive battle could be in the cards Sunday. Though the Bucs won the first round, they gained only 289 total yards, and the Panthers are in the upper third of the league in points and yards allowed. Tampa is also fifth in takeaways, while the Panthers are ninth in giveaways.
