Could we actually see Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry in action this weekend? The oft-injured pass catcher was a full participant in practice after two straight days of limited participation, and is listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report.
Henry suffered tibia plateau fracture in his left knee in Week 1 after catching four passes for 60 yards. The injury came after he missed most of the 2018 season with a torn ACL. He did not practice prior to this week, but appears to have escalated things rather quickly.
Fantasy football analysis, Chargers TE Hunter Henry
This is turning into a interesting situation. Henry’s return is coming almost out of nowhere, but it could create a decision. The tight end position is weak across the NFL if you didn’t draft one of the more notable names. Guys like Will Dissly were available on waivers, but otherwise you might still be scrambling for an option. If Henry is active, this is not the worst start in the world. The Steelers are in the middle of the pack in giving up fantasy points to tight ends, so there could be some value. The bigger issue is this is a Sunday Night Football game, so we might not know until the late afternoon if he’s available. Keep an eye out for Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter early Sunday morning.
