Seahawks running backs Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny have both been added to the injury report on Thursday. We break down the fantasy football implications for Week 6.

The Seattle Seahawks had a pair of unexpected additions to their Week 6 injury report on Thursday as they continue preparations for the Cleveland Browns. Running back Chris Carson was a limited participant due to a shoulder injury, while running back Rashaad Penny was a full participant due to a hamstring injury. Neither was on Wednesday’s injury report.

This will be a situation to track. It’s helpful that neither was a DNP, but unexpected additions to the second or third practice participation report of the weeks raises red flags. Penny is less of a concern given he was a full participant. Carson as a limited participant will be someone to watch on Friday’s report. If he’s limited again, he could end up a game-time decision heading into Sunday. The good news is the Seahawks are playing in Cleveland so it’s a 1:00 p.m. game.

If both play, Carson remains the starting option in fantasy. Penny returned last week after a two-week absence and had eight touches while Carson rushed for 118 yards. Penny could eventually work his way back into a viable fantasy role, but it’s not happening yet. If Carson sits however, Penny gets his shot and is a guy you start in Week 6.
