The Arizona Cardinals travel to face an atrocious Cincinnati Bengals team in Week 5, and they enter the practice week with a question surrounding second-year wide receiver Christian Kirk. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury revealed on Monday that Kirk suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, according to Cardinals reporter Darren Urban. Klingsbury said the team would have more information on the injury Wednesday when the team returns to practice.

Kirk finished Week 4 with four receptions on five targets for 37 yards. Prior to Sunday, he had been targeted nearly 11 times per game and had seen his reception title climb from four to six to ten. He is tied with Larry Fitzgerald for the team lead in targets and leads the team in receptions.

Fantasy analysis: Kirk has emerged as a solid PPR option through the first quarter of the season. Arizona faces a Bengals team that is winless and struggling to do much of anything on either side of the ball. Kyler Murray has settled in on Kirk and Fitzgerald as his targets, with Kirk starting to emerge as a go-to option. This injury will be something to monitor, but if he is active on Sunday, he’s worth a start against the Bengals in traditional fantasy leagues.
