It’s Pro Bowl day — Feel the excitement

The 2019 Pro Bowl takes place Sunday afternoon. It is the penultimate NFL game, if you want to call it NFL action. We've got the TV details to get you ready, with a pair of 49ers playing in the game.

It's Pro Bowl day! The NFL is trying desperately to get more interest in this game and you have to admire their desire to at least make an attempt at getting things interesting. They are certainly on the right track by adding strange challenges in the week leading up, but It still isn’t catching on. The 49ers have some good representation this year with George Kittle, DeForest Buckner and Kyle Juszczyk.

The game is on ESPN, which means we get to have the cramped booth of Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, and Booger McFarland. If ESPN wanted to bring the Booger Mobile back, this would be the game to do it. I think with the attendance, they may not block anyone’s vision of the action on the sidelines. The game was moved back five hours in 2018 and the NFL seems satisfied with the time-change. It’s starting at noon yet again. So get some lunch and get ready for the second-to-last football action of the season.

How many folks will be watching the game this year? It’s the worst of the four All Star Games, but I suppose it’s one last bit of quasi-49ers football for some of us.

Me personally? The WWE Royal Rumble is on later, so this will probably be an prelude to the true entertainment of Sunday.
